The Hampton Majestic Chicago Theater District is committed to being Green through decreasing our impact and improve the sustainability on our natural environment.

Energy Improvements

• Compact Fluorescent Light Bulbs in all guest rooms & public pace
• State of the art HVAC cooling tower
• Partial consumption of renewable energy credits
• Motion sensor light switches in all back of the house offices and storage rooms

Water Conservation

• Guest bathrooms use low-flow toilets & showerheads
• Public area bathrooms use motion sensor water dispensers in the sinks
• Public area bathrooms have auto low flow auto flush toilets
• Linen and towel reuse program for multiple-night guests

Recycling & Composting

• Used Shampoos & conditioner bottles are donated to a local shelter
• Consumer paper products made from recycled fibers
• Recycled paper used in all printers
• Cardboard recycling program in place

Waste Minimization

• Copy machine defaulted to double-sided printing

Vendors

• Environmental purchasing policy in place
• Preference given to environmentally responsible service suppliers
• Green Team meets regularly to develop eco-friendly operations
• Preferences are given to Eco-Friendly cleaning products
• Individual temperature controls in all public space
